About Natural Habitante herbal soaps Every time we wash, we have an opportunity to nourish our skin with lovely, healing oils–but only if we wash with all-natural vegan soap. Do you know what goes into making your favorite soap or body wash? If it’s a commercial product, chances are excellent that it is full of detergents and other synthetic ingredients that dry the skin and often cause allergic reactions. Even handmade soaps vary in quality from pre-made melt-and-pour products to all-natural soaps made with pure vegan oils.
Natural Habitante soaps ALWAYS begin with
gentle olive oil, to which one or more of the following
oils are added: coconut, hempseed, sweet almond, sunflower, safflower, jojoba, castor, grapeseed, African shea butter or cocoa butter. In addition, they may be — and often are — enriched with infused herbs that are organically grown or wildcrafted in
Why use exotic oils?
Each oil in Natural Habitante soaps has special attributes, gifts that it gives to the product, to the consumer and ultimately, back to Nature. Organic unrefined hempseed oil, for example, is loaded with essential fatty acids & vitamins. Soaps made with hempseed oil leave your skin feeling silky. Sunflower and safflower oils offer similar benefits. Unrefined butters, such as shea and cocoa, have wonderfully natural aromas, skin-loving nutrients and serious protection. Another benefit of hand-made soap is the glycerin, a humectant that helps protect the skin against climate extremes. Glycerin is removed from commercially made soap to make the bars harder. That is one reason why commercial soap makes our skin feel dry and irritated.
Essential oils
Natural Habitante offers several different soaps for extremely sensitive skin: Calendula, Oatmeal, Baby Soap, Plantain and Plain Castile have no added scents. The rest are scented with pure essential oils, chosen because they are safe and effective, as well as sustainable and affordable. These essential oils are used by herbalists and aromatherapists around the world.
